I finally upgraded from the D700 to the D800.... now I don't know why I waited so long.   The D800 makes everything much easier.... if it is quality pictures you are looking for.   I still have love for my D700, what a workhorse, but the D800 is not finicky in any way.   Oh, and upgrading the latest version of Capture NX2 (needed that for the D800) was a treat.   Don't know if others have noticed this but this latest version is extremely stable and dependable.... just amazing.    (compared to the "new" version a year or so ago, and it was much better than all those before it)
