I was watching a video from the Fotobro on Youtube about which camera and megapixels. He says that it 'doesn't matter what camera you buy'. I'm not so sure because surely you could buy a camera that is future proof or you could grow into. What's my chance of finding say a good digital camera for less than $100 with lens that would let me take good photos? I intend to do some street and nature photography. Thanks. Jack.

No technology is future proof, but I think the various image file formats will be around for quite some time yet. As regards cameras, it's a waste of time placing much emphasis on buying something future proof as the technology is constantly changing. Just buy a camera with good a good sensor and lens and get out and use it.
