All these superzooms have similar performance. They do a reasonable good job, but you need to stop them down to get sharpness and they all suffer from a fair amount of barrel/pincushion distortion, depending on the focal length. The only real advantage of the Sony 18-250 is that it is supported by the in-camera lens correction feature. But this is only relevant if you shoot jpeg.

I take a different approach. I also use the Tamron 18-270 PZD, but also add the Sony DT 35mm f/1.8 SAM in the camera bag. It is light and small, so it uses little space in the bag. Optical quality is vastly superior to all the superzooms.
