Re: Nikon 24-120 or Tamron 24-70 VC as walk-around lens?

I have been using the 24-120 f/4 for a while now and love it. Contrary to what has been stated 120mm is plenty sharp for the D600. Check out the baby's eyes in this photo at 100%. AF is great too. Tamron has certainly stepped up their game recently (along with Sigma) but I would not want to give up the 70-120 range. In image comparisons I have seen I think the 24-120 renders a little better than the Tamron as well, especially in full sunlit conditions. I do have the Tamron 70-300 VC though and can say that the VC seems to be very good.
