Hello Hardy:

Very impressive pictures! When you get a chance, can you please put the X3F file of the "North Window Arch" online ... I'd like to see the detail of the 24-70mm at 24mm. I had a close look at the 100% version of the JPEG, but I was not quite sure if the quality was not too much impacted by the compression. The bushes on the front, were they outside the DOF?

Thanks for the comments hardy:  I do not have a way to upload the X3F file, but I can tell you that the 24-70 mm lens is soft in the corners and edges at 24 mm up to about 32 mm, after which it gets sharp across the frame.  That particular shot is very soft in the corners and some of what you see could be from jpeg compression.  I rarely shoot the 24-70 at below 32 mm, but in this case I was hiking to the arches and had the single lens with me.  For wide shots I prefer the 20 mm lens with its short comings.

I am hoping the new 18-35 mm lens is a good one to cover the lower FL.  then the 18-35 and 24-70 would be my travel kit!
