Re: The body-work design is unusual

Yes, a lovely lens.

But the design of the body-work is different from any other lens I have. Different from my DA* lenses. Different from my other DA lenses. Different from its non-WR predecessor. This isn't a complaint - it has a very crisp precision-instrument appearance and feel.

It seems pretty unique

Is it like any other lenses in the Pentax range, such a Limiteds (which I've never handled)?

I have the DA15,21,70, they are so small and light that it's hard to compare to the DFA 100mm WR which being larger has a real heft, that the smaller lenses lack.. They seem like well made prescision instruments but not built like tanks.. It's the light weight that does it.
