One More Thing

A lot depends on the viewer.  One would not expect a viewer to 'pixel-peep' a work of art unless the artist presents the work blown up to that degree or requests that guests stand six inches from framed art.  A lot of the inadequacies we find in our own photos or photos of others comes from viewing the work way too closely--unnaturally, even.  Most such issues disappear as we take a suitable distance from the image.  At least, when I post my work online I suggest viewers leave their comfortable chairs and stand across the room from the monitor.  Hard to critique from 20 feet.
