Pick whatever you enjoy the most, all these technical discussions don't really matter.  One option may make more 'technical' or rational sense but if you end up enjoying it less, that is the wrong route to pick.

To *me* I prefer primes...and not even a *ton* of primes but only a few.  Primes that are also cheap and light that makes my expensive body look silly in comparison in cost...but its what I enjoy more to carry a light setup.  I do not believe in having too many lens per body because you can only have one lens on a single body at a given point in time.  And at that point I entertain the idea of carrying other bodies...actually I also shoot my Olympus E-PM2, etc.  However I may consider swapping that out with a Canon Rebel SL100 for the viewfinder and applying 1.6x crop to my existing primes (and getting the budget but good/small/cheap kit lenses with it).
