Aperture supports plugins

If you own a string of expensive plugins and go to cloud membership for Photoshop do you lose the use of all your plugins if you can't manage the Adobe subscription one month?

What are the alternatives?

If you're talking about plugins made to work with Adobe products and not plugins made by Adobe (does Adobe make plugins?), then you might be happy to know that some developers make multi-platform plugins. Topaz Labs and Nik Software, to name just two, make plugins that work with Aperture as well as PS & LR. I use the Nik plugin suite within Aperture, and when I need to do pixel editing I round-trip to Pixelmator. The resulting TIFs are stacked within Aperture alongside the master RAW files for easy management, further adjustment, cropping, printing, sharing, exporting, etc.
