Google has their own filesystem, gfs, designed around large number of cheap servers, where multiple copies are stored and you can lose servers without data loss or interruption.    Hadoop is similar.  While it wouldn't surprise me if they have zfs in some use cases, zfs is not the model for mass cloud installs.
