Re: Mistake? Is NEX for me?

Completely sympathise with OP.

I used to carry a Nikon D700 (full frame), and when travelling would just stick a 24-70/2.8 for the trip and leave my primes at home. It was heavy and bulky but I never needed to worry about changing lens (or even batteries!). I moved to a NEX 6 primarily to save weight and bulk.

After I'd picked up a few lens I also started to feel like a circus animal, often asking my wife to hold lenses/caps while I was switching.

My solution: I bought a cheap 2nd hand NEX 5N, and just attach the two lenses I think I'm going to use. If going out and needing to travel even lighter I just take the 5N with the 1650pz. Otherwise I generally have the 5N w/ 1018/4 and the 6 w/ 35/1.8. I had to hunt around for a suitable sling bag that would make both easily accessible - but I'll make a seperate post on that later.

Good luck!
