Re: CyberShot Wx150 or Canon Sx260HS as pocket camera

I have both the WX150 and the SX260.

The SX260 takes noticeably better pictures.  And it is small enough to fit into the front pocket in my jeans for all day walking around.

The WX150 is small and light enough that I can put it in my shorts pocket when I go jogging and it does not bang around uncomfortably.  The SX260 is too heavy for that.

There are other travel zooms similar to the SX260 that take pictures of similar quality.  But not any better and most are a little thicker and do not fit comfortably into a jeans pocket.   The SX260 sounds like the best choice for you.
