Re: Epson R2000 vs R3000

I have the R1800 for 5-6 years and it printed beautifully.  It finally failed and I purchased the R2000.  I thought about R3000, but Epson recommends the R2000 if you do mostly color (which I do).  They said the R3000 is better for B+W.

I set up the R2000 quickly and easily and after calibrating my monitor, I set up Photoshop to control the color and voila, the prints matched the monitor almost perfectly.  I must say that the R1800 never matched as well and it seemed to vary every time I started it up.  If this calibration continues between printer and monitor, I will find printing a pleasure - something I never experienced with my R1800 as I ALWAYS had to re-calibrate the printer upon start up.
