I can’t wait until Sigma (or anyone) announces new 12-50/2.8 and 50-150/2.8 zoom lenses, then, I would really be excited. I think that more functional lenses should be designed so people do not need to purchase so many additional prime lenses and keep changing them and missing shots. Maybe these kinds of lenses are not possible to be made “OR” maybe these companies don’t want to make them because it would keep people from purchasing all those expensive primes!? I would rather pay 2-3 times as much for those kinds of lensesrather than have to switch lenses so often, possibly miss shots, carry so many with me and take the risk of dust/dirt getting on my lens.

There are no such lenses, but there are 12-35/2.8 and 35-100/2.8. They are very expensive but also very good.

I use primes nearly all the time and do not change often. Once or twice a week, perhaps.
