16-85 VR or the 10-24mm for my situation? Which would you choose?

I used to have the exact same combo you described: 10-24, 35, 85

I liked it a lot. The 10-24 gives you that real wide-angle look a 16-85 will never be able to. If your subject is in the center of the frame, the 10-24 might be good for occasional people shots too.

If you are after a stablized walk-around lens, get the 18-105 VR. It is really cheap, and as good, or better, than the 16-85.
