I am not aware of the version without MC (I mean f2.4), but I wouldn't be surprised if it exists. Red (orange) version is considered to have  slightly better build quality, white MC version (later) often suffer from aperture sticking.

While build quality is good, it is far from Takumars i.e. Auto has electric contacts for coupling aperture, but it. can be used on a dumb adapter as well, so for you, it doesn't matter if it's auto or not.

I would go up to 200 USD. 300 is too much IMHO.

My Red MC seems very nice build quality - certainly nicer than a roughly contemporary Trabant!

Did they make a Praktica B mount version too? I am pleased I have the M42 mount, as it works well on my Spotmatic, as well as my NEX.

Prices in UK seem to range from £150 to £250 for f2.4 models in good shape. Frankly, £250 seems a bit insane - I don't suppose they cost that much new in the 1980s (adjusting for inflation)
