If I am correct...every polarizer utilizes a "foil" to do its work. Obviously optical grade and quality. I am guessing they are very finicky on the foils they choose...or maybe they are to an exacting standard....which would hold to B+W's reputation.

Not sure if we will see much of a difference, but I did read some tests and saw some examples and the B+W in a nighttime torture test with a Mercury Vapor light this was the only one that didn't flare in the lens...so I was impressed enough to look at this one.

I also like the brass surround and threads...they are less prone to lock up on the end of your lens.
