Hi Ty,

I notice you have the following lens:

Canon EFS 18-55 mm lens

Nice addition.

To the OP:

Get rid of the 18-55 non-IS. The original 18-55 that came with the 300D is inferior compared to the later IS version. Or consider the 18-135 STM (more bulky but with a more convenient range).

Sigma AF 70-300 mm f/4-5.6 DG APO macro lens

Here are some options:

1. Canon T3i/600D body ~$550

2. Canon T5i/700D body ~$749.

I would skip the T4i as it does offer any benefit over one or the other above.

Sorry but you are misinformed. The T4i has much improved over the T3i. The T4i focus system is the same as 60D (9x cross and f2.8 for center) and the T4i is the first Rebel with touch UI and hybrid AF for video.

For the OP:

You might also consider the EOS-M: it's quite small, unobtrusive and it can do everything the T4i can do except for shots that require instant/low-light AF. It seems to be quite cheap these days in the U.S..

If easy video is important you might also consider the 100D + 18-55 STM; its video focus covers most of the sensor which is more convenient than the partial coverage of the T4i/T5i/EOS-M.
