I shoot at 8 fps mostly when I want fast burst rate. It helps overcome crappy lighting conditions.

If you shoot a gig with constantly changing light I see a point.

But your metering has to keep up with your burst as well.

But I would spot meter and shoot one at a time.

For low light in general this doesn't make any sense to me to shoot high bursts.
