Re: Replacing EOS 300 D

Lots of people have posted similar questions, take a look through this forum and you'll find a lot of good advice.

Take a look at the Cameras section of this site, check out the detailed reviews, they are full of great info.

I recently upgraded from a 300D to a T4i and am very happy with it.  I'm getting less grainy images in low-light situations.  With the new 18-135 IS STM, I am carrying one lens now instead of 2 (original kit lens and a 28-135).  For the types of shots I take, this lens is all I need 99% of the time.  Amazon has this bundle right now for $799 US.

Be advised that the grip is a little smaller than the 300D - originally I wasn't sure I liked it, but after using it for awhile I don't notice the difference now.

Also recommend once you start narrowing down your choices, use the Compare Cameras feature - decide which features are "want", "nice", or "dealbreakers" for you.   In this case, I'd suggest comparing the t3i, t4i, t5i side by side.  You may decide the t3i meets all your needs and save some money.

Good luck.
