Nice Roman. By the way, when shooting waterfalls/rivers...have you noticed that (exposing for the brights) when you pull out the shadow detail on the D800, the green foilage gets this uncontrasty cold gray feel to it? I am still trying to hone in on my post processing, but I think the way you pull your shadows up effects the overall color/white balance/contrast. ADL seems to be the worst offender. What has been your experience?

Chris, try this. Duplicate the image as a second layer. On the top layer, use "luminosity" instead of "standard" in the blending mode. In this manner your shadow detail won't have color changes when you bring it up. Works well with dodging and burning also.
