DP Merrill: The best you got from a single battery?

I wanted to know if my cheap replacement battery is "as good" as the Sigma battery, so i was putting the camera on the table an pressed the shutter every 1-2 seconds.

With the sigma battery i took 336 pictures and with the replacement battery 316.

In real life shooting i usually get 40-50 shots. Really weird. 
Maybe it's the autofocus?

What is the highest number of shots you got from a single battery so far?

My personal record: a whopping 124 shots. Done this sunny Sunday afternoon, shooting mainly cats and flowers. Before? No more than about 60. The warm weather seems to be key to a longer battery life.

Yes, I think the autofocus eats up a lot of power, as I experience less shots if using in dim lights. I also think preview also eats up quite a bit.
