I use a Kirk arca-swiss security camera strap connected to my RRS L-Plate or the 70-200 RRS arca-swiss adapter. Screwing in a rotating mount directly to the tripod hole is definitely asking for trouble, but hey, it's such a neat idea people will still buy it!
