Re: Wisteria Blossoms & Bumble Bees

Here's a Carpenter Bee I came across about a week ago while it was quite cool in the AM and it wasn't moving much.   While I'm no expert on this subject, I do have first hand experience with the damage they can do to a home and what subsequent damage wood peckers can add when looking for a meal of carpenter bees.

They seem to like the fascia boards where rain gutters are attached, boring a 3/8" to 1/2" hole into the board, then making a turn and boring a tunnel, where they lay their eggs.  The wood peckers show up for the subsequent larva.
