As others mentioned, you might need to be careful with interchangeable lens cameras as some will not let them in.  A NEX can look like a P&S to some, and might slip by, like an M4:3 as well, but if anyone takes a close look and sees the interchangeable lens, you might not get in.

It might be worth a look at the Sony RX100 - very small and compact, a P&S design, and a 100mm equivalent, decently fast lens, with a bigger sensor than your XZ1 (though smaller than the mirrorless).  Even better, if size is not much of an issue, and you just want the most quality you can get out of a fixed-lens camera that still gives you roughly the same reach as you have now, consider a Canon G1X - you might be able to pick one up cheap as they're discontinuing - you get a M4:3 sized sensor, a decently fast aperture, and a fixed lens.  It's a niche camera that played to a very small niche, and so didn't sell well, but as a fixed-lens, large sensor camera with a 100mm+ equivalent reach, it might play perfectly into your needs.
