EOS 6D tracking AF behaviour

I just came back from a open day at my local photo store. There I could check the EOS 6D and noticed the following noticeable and not very pleasant change in AF behaviour: at Al Servo when all AF points are active the 6D no longer starts with the central point as all other EOS that have only nine (or eleven in this case) AF points but with the AF point that can focus on the nearest subject in range. So, basically Canon has the same behaviour here as Sony e.g. (not sure about Pentax, Nikon has at least 39 Point throughout its range and you can choose the AF point to start with) which is disastrous because you can no longer pinpoint a target you choose because the camera always chooses closest target first.
