Comnot be pants pocketable, but it is much more pocketable in jackets, bags, etc. than either the X-E1 or XP1 with the 35/1.4 attached.

I was checking on an X100S last week at the local camera store. They had the X100 and it fit my pants pocket very eaisly. It would not fit my jeans pocket but I would not want it if it were that small.

I did not try my shirt pocket because of the iPhone but I am pretty sure it will fit a dress shirt pocket. The whole point of this camera for me is high quality images that do not require a camera bag over the shoulder. When I go that route, I have a D300S that works just fine.

Everything happens for a reason. #1 reason: poor planning

I'm not sure that I have any pants that the X100s would fit in comfortably for the day, but, then again, I wear jeans most of the time.  I don't use a camera bag, either.  I just bring the X100s on a very thin strap across my body.  It feels noticeably smaller, lighter and more comfortable than my M9 on a daily basis, let alone a DSLR.

In order to be carried comfortably in my pants pocket all day, I'd need a camera that is iPhone sized.  Anything much bulkier than that and I'd rather just have the camera on a strap.
