Post processing that original was definitely required, and it looks much better now.

One additional step I would have done is rotate slightly so the play structure/slide is more vertical.  Otherwise it looks like you held the camera off-level (even though it may be because you were standing slightly to one side of the slide).  The image will look more pleasing if the structure of the image is orientated the way your brain expects it.

Also, be careful to not over-do the corrections and get over saturated, especially for people shots and skin tones.

Of course, a lot of it is personal preference.  But that is my opinion.
