I was just referring to this statement. I dont use my cameras for sales as it's only a hobby for now, but that doesn't diminish my needs any. I was just conveying the idea that more MP, and sharper pixels, will allow one to crop, effectively giving you a longer lens. I dont have to print large to appreciate higher resolution. And portraitry may not benefit from super sharp pixel level detail, but birding does. These points are reason enough for me to disagree, I dont consider it mumbo jumbo nonsense. Plz don't take offense, but we all have different needs.

But you are right, for birding the D7100 is very good.  I never shoot birds.
