Sorry this new style froum has a mind of it's own.

I got my hands on a GH3 with 12-35mm lens this week in a camera store in Adelaide South Australia, I was happy with the size and build quality. The feel in the hand was great.

The electronic level guide was a nice feature.

Once I had a fiddle & sorted the manual focus assit function ( only managed it in the manual focus mode)  I was very disapointed with the sharpness of the image at the maximun magnification multiplier. I attempted to adjust the diopter knob but to no avail. I was an early adopter with the G1 & also have a G2. I love the crispness of these EVF's as I often manual focus with Legacy canon lenses (I love my FD 50mm 1:1.4 S.S.C). I then went up the road & tried another GH3 and saw no improvement ( this had a 14-42mm lens).  I was ready to change up but lost my desire when focusing with the EVF. I rarely use the lCD screen to focus unless I need a special angle.

Have others had similar experiences with this 1st generation OLE EVF?

I will be keen to see if the G6 has more resolved Oled EVF development.

I guess that your problem with sharpness while using max. magnification relates to a sensor grain you see rather than EVF.
