Rebel XTI 400D repair question

I have a Rebel XTI with the infamous no power problem. I am fairy good at fixing things and it doesn't seem to hard to find internal electrical components online. But I cannot seem to determine which part has gone bad on the camera. I was wondering if anyone here has any experience that might indicate which part needs to be replaced. My first guess is the power board, since the camera does not power on. But I don't really want to spend 50 bucks on a part that might not fix the problem.

Before anyone asks, I have replaced the button battery, tried taking both batteries out for an extended period, tried with/without the CF card, checked for broken/bent pins in the card slot and tried to power with usb connected. There is no activity at all when the power switch is flipped.

Thanks! Any help is appreciated.
