Re: Thanks to all for all the replies!!

Adobe software only list camera profiles that apply to the camera that generated the NEF file.

Nikon changed to Picture Control profiles with the D300 camera ( I believe)  and all new cameras use these profiles.  If you process a D200 NEF file using Nikon Capture NX2, you can select the Non Picture Control Profiles (Mode I, Mode II, or Mode III) that are available in the camera or select Picture Control Profiles (Standard, Neutral, Portrait, Vivid, Landscape, Monochrome).  D2XMode 1, D2XMode 2, and D2XMode 3 are not available for the D200 in the latest update for Nikon Capture NX2 - they was available in earlier versions of NX2.  When you change from a Non Picture Control Profile to a Picture Control Profile in Nikon Capture NX2 for a D200 NEF file you get a brighter picture and have to reduce the exposure slider to make it look like the same exposure you get from the camera.   Adobe generated D200 profiles that match the Picture Control profiles that were available for the D200 in Nikon Capture NX2, but did not generate profiles that match the D200 Non Picture Control profiles that are availalbe in the camera and Nikon Capture NX2.

If you process a D200 NEF file using Nikon View NX2 you have the option of using the profile you had selected in the camera or Picture Control Profiles, you don't have the option to change to the other Non Picture Profiles that are available in the camera.
