I would think a person as handy with the camera as you are would have zero problem cleaning the sensor yourself.  It's literally about a 5 min chore once you've done it a few times.  Maybe takes 10 min the first time you do it. I use e2 and the little swabs

my 600 has more dirt/dust/maybeoil? than my 700 did - but not by much - and it's not an issue except in the general sense that it can be an issue for any DSLR. I have wet cleaned 5 times in 25,000 shots since the body was new in October.

I used to shoot my 700 to 3200 without worry.  I can shoot the 600 to hi .7 without worry.  Pretty amazing. Plus color hangs in much better at the extreme.
