Would you buy a 50mm equivilent x100

Indeed. My preferred focal length is somewhere in between 42-48, so 50 would be more or less right for me. I'd prefer a lens with a speed/dof equivalent of f/2. I don't care for 1,4 lenses, though on DX sensors I see their advantages. I find 35mm too wide for my normal shooting. I love the results, but I find 35mm effort to shoot.

On my FE/D800, the 50/2 Ai is always on the camera body (when I'm shooting for me, not for work). The only problem I see with Fuji lenses is that they are so modern. I prefer lenses with 6 blade apertures or even 5. 7 and 9 make odd bokeh when stopped down and tend to be far more corrected than I like. But the X100 series is a great camaera.
