I agree with you. I have already said I have done the same with dslrs and 2.8 glass. My point is on that specific day it made a difference.

my bigger point is in many ways no different from yours or Richards. Know what you are shooting. Know your equipment. Choose what is best suited for that experience. It can be an iPhone, a DSLR, medium format, or m43. But choosing a DSLR (or medium format for that matter) simply because is the best is sometimes about as wise as buying a $20,000 computer on credit to do 3rd grade math. Do you need that much computing? Or will another choice accomplish the job at a much different cost.
