Manual focus with peaking would also be my recommendation. You can't easily zone focus, but you can set the correct shutter speed, set a decent aperture (to increase the focus zone), prefocus at what you think is correct and then watch the screen. It will be quite easy to see if they're in focus or moving out of the focus zone. Then just either move the camera or change the focus.
