Which is a better lens for the a77? Tamron or Sigma

The answer is Sigma OS HSM

If I don't already own Sony 70-200G I would get the latest Sigma 70-200 OS HSM no brainer. Its at least as sharp as Sony if not more so, and in-lens OS really works (good for video too). A good way to test how sharp a lens is, is to put 1.4xTC on it and see how sharp (or soft) the image becomes. Sigma is bit sharper when I side by side tested it against Sony with 1.4xTC.

For about half the cost of Sony and longer warranty Sigma is winning many happy users. Some of my Canon/Nikon friends couldn't say enough good thing about it.
