A58 does Voelklinger Huette

Hi all,

just got my new A58 and decided to test it at Voelklinger Huette (big former ironworks plant in Germany), UNESCO-World Heritage site.

To give you an idea how the camera did, i put some photos on flickr, straight ooc, no resizing, no sharpening, no denoising. Full exif is available. ISO up to 6400. Used lenses: SAL-1680Z, SAL-35F18, Tamron 70-300SP (appears in EXIF, strangely, as "70-300mm F4-5.6 SSM" but NO, it's definitely TAMRON branded)

My first impressions:

It's a lot of fun shooting with the cam, it fits much better in my hands than my "old" A37 (since the A58 is a little bigger). Noise is quite well controlled in nearly every situation until ISO 1600, under good conditions up to ISO 6400. I have to learn a lot more, even if it is quite similar to my A37. What I really love is the new creative mode "Rich-tone monochrome" (see picture DSC02097). Looks like a fine art print (I think this is the idea).

The A58 is definitely a keeper!
