As far as exposure, I don't know that using Evaluative metering on each camera will give the exact same exposure.  You could switch to Center Weighted (or Spot) to see if you can't get exposures more similar.  Set both cameras to M and meter off the same middle "grey" object in the scene and see what that gives you.

As far as overall impressions of the images, with sharpness, there is little to choose, as both cameras render the subject as sharp as you'd need it to me.  That said, the X100s' more shallow DOF makes the subject pop a bit more and makes bokeh creamier.  You'd need to get much closer to the subject with the 20 1.7 to achieve a similarly blurred background (which obviously cannot be done if you intend the framing to be the same with both cameras).

They are two wonderful cameras, both with their own particular strengths.
