Then show me all the examples of additional lenses that look like the diagram in the panasonic 25mm and the sigma patent.

First answer me this: how many different 25mm f/1.4 AF lenses are currently being made for the M43 format?

Never mind, I'll answer myself: one. Therefore, there are no additional lens designs to show.

Feel free to resume the discussion if/when other 25mm f/1.4s show up in the marketplace. This includes the rumored but currently non-available Sigma.

How about if you show me two 14-42 f/3.5-5.6 lenses that are even remotely as similar to each other as the two 25mm diagrams are?

There are a lot of choices to be made before you plug numbers into the computer for optimization. It is inconceivable to me that sigma had no prior knowledge of the design of the panasonic lens before they filed that patent.

In other words sigma didn't just tell the computer that they wanted a 25mm f/1.4 lens and the computer just spit out the exact same design with 9 elements and all the lens types identical from front to back. That's absurd.

There's more variation in the different iterations of double-gauss normal lenses than there is between these two 25mm diagrams.
