K-01: center point focus area too large

I find that the only way I get the K-01 to focus where I want it to, is to use Select Focus with the smallest focus area.  I don't think it's a K-01 issue per se, but a CDAF issue in general.  I am guessing that CDAF does not "see" distance, but only contrast.  Therefore it aims for the highest contrast areas, and if the background has higher contrast than the subject, this is where it focuses first, even though the subject may be closer and within the focus area.  I much prefer PDAF for that reason.
