The 200mm isn't how far the flash can reach. 200mm means that the flash is optimized for maximum power in that smaller field of view, over lets say 70mm. 70mm needs a wider flash spread thus weakening its theoretical throw. Zooming the flash means the beam is tighter but can be 'thrown' further.

The lower the f number the more powerful your flash will seem to be on the exposure.

Put your flash on your camera, zoom it to 200mm and use an aperture of f2.8. This will give you the maximum throw, relative to Iso. If your then still underpowered, increase your Iso to suit..
