Why the Nikon A price does not matter

It is an enthusiast camera, it yields professional results.  The reason the price does not matter is that you cannot add lenses to it.

Lenses end up representing often 90% of the cost of a camera.  When I was hooked on m4/3 I had 7 lenses.  Three times the cost of the OMD.

When I was hooked on Nikon DSLR I also had 10 lenses.  A $ 700 D5100 with $ 4000 in lenses.

There is a lot of pressure to match the GR price.  Let's see if the GR can do high ISO, like the A can.

But $300 difference is half a lens.

(On top of that I got mine at Best Buy for $ 899 plus tax, ask the manager to match their Feb 19 price on the A)
