Different shutter speeds switching between Manual and Aperture priority
Different shutter speeds switching between Manual and Aperture priority
Apr 18, 2013
I am just starting to use my D5100 in Manual mode and noticed that when I pick a shutter speed/f-stop for a "correct" exposure (indicator is in the middle of the scale), and then switch to Aperture mode and select the same aperture as previously, the shutter speed the camera selects is different than what it was in Manual mode. It is the same exact scene that I am shooting.
Is there some reason for this?
