Yeah. I'd certainly hold onto those FA* lenses and see not only how well they work with your K-5, but also how well they may work when and if Pentax comes out with a FF camera. My 90s era 135mm F2.8 (I call it DFA, but I don't really know, for sure, except that I can set it to "A" and it works fine with my K-5's auto-aperture settings and AF), was certainly made for a FF camera (I used it with a PZ1, at the time. But it takes flawless pics on the K-5, as well. It was the sharpest lens I had back then. I can't necessarily say that now, but it's still a keeper.

Hi Jeff,

There is no Pentax-DFA 135mm f2.8 lens.

There was a Pentax-F 135mm f2.8 that was produced from 1987-1991. It clearly has Pentax-F written along the side and has 135 in red letters.

There was a Pentax-FA 135mm f2.8 that was produced from 1991-2000. This one is probably the one that you have.

Cheers.

Ron

Like I said, Ron, I wasn't sure exactly WHAT the "letters" associated with the lens are. It must be the FA. I assume that's what the 50 F1.4 is, as well, if it's the same lens I bought around the same time -- sure LOOKS like the same lens.

All these letter designations can cornfusle me sometimes. Thanks for the clarification.

Jeff
