Wow, then it's very impressive indeed. I refer to the top grids in the corner, the ones you aren't happy as far as sharpness goes. CA control is pretty amazing there, I have seen lenses of higher repute faring much worse in similar scenes

Good to hear that the 8-16m is great at 10mm. That would be enough for me (of course, if a lens goes to 8 one shall expect it to be good there as well, but this is another story).

Sure, I always think it better to show reference images because two people can interpret terms quite differently.

As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words - and is less prone to misinterpretation, too!
