Will a summer A77 firmware obviate the pending release of a new APS-C model A78?

The problem with this kind of thinking where it seems a future...(more)

firmware release will solve our photographic problem is taking away the fun and good attitude about photography. In spite of current limitations one seems to be seeing or experiencing, why not try to find a current workaround? That should be fun and more rewarding as one explore or experiments on one's tool, the more one will recognize the full potential or the full limitations. I learned a lot by pursuing this exploratory attitude rather than be a hostage to future firmware upgrade :-D.

If my current tools gives me 80-90% of photographic satisfaction or happiness, I shouldn't be worry about the rest. If one can't achieve a usable satisfaction from one's current tools in spite of the good intent on improving techniques; maybe it is time to move into another brand or a new hobby :-).

Like happiness, photography is often better created than pursued.
