Thanks for the info; I didn't read the whole thread but assume those are all testimonials of unanimous agreementĀ  Glad to know my D300 is still in the game. By the way, nowadays upgrading the camera often means upgrading computer hardware and software either; that could double the cost (or the savings in this case)!!!
