Is there any Landscape photographer using a SD1 Merrill in the house?

Both images were taken at f/8, on a tripod, center focus, about 5 pm in early April. But when I pixel-peep at that Victorian house just left of center I see that the current image is much worse:

The far right hand side of both images is of equal sharpness. (I up-rezzed these 150 pixel crops 4x nearest neighbor to make the difference more obvious.)
