Two identical printers; un-identical results

I have two identical printers sitting side by side. The only difference is that one is a 24-inch roll feed and the other is a 44-inch roll feed. As a test, I printed the same image (a bright yellow sunflower) to both printers onto the same paper (24 inches on both) at the same size, using the same ICC profile and the same print options (from both Qimage and my printer's driver). On one printer the yellow is bright and cheerful. On the other, the yellow is dingy, like dirty dishwater. Ink supplies are adequate on both.

Short of creating separate profiles for each, any ideas or suggestions? Thanks!
